Private folders are used exclusively in the camera tree. This feature doesn’t apply to the intercom tree.
In the camera tree, you can use private folders to flexibly manage user access to specific cameras. You can only add these folders to the final, or “leaf,” elements of the tree – that is, where the cameras themselves are located.
For example, if you have several cameras at the same physical address, you can create private folders within the node for that address and add specific cameras to them. This allows you to restrict user access to certain surveillance zones, even when all the cameras are located under the same address in the tree structure.
Cameras placed in a private folder will be part of a private camera group and accessible only to a limited number of users. Cameras that aren’t included in a private folder will remain public, accessible to a wider range of users based on their configured access rights.
