Auto-provisioning is the procedure of automated camera addition and configuration. This process automatically creates a location, entity, and camera profile, assigns an IP address via DHCP, and establishes communication with the media server for video streaming. The VMS administrator interface allows you to track the auto-provisioning stages. For details, see the Provisioning documentation section.
A mandatory requirement for applying auto-provisioning is the use of a structured address system by the customer.
For more information about auto-provisioning, refer to the Auto-provisioning algorithm and methods.
There are also additional options to add cameras and video streams:
-
Manually add video streams during automatic camera addition. For details, see the Automatic camera addition and manual video stream setup documentation section.

Manually add a camera and video streams. For details, see the Manual camera and video stream addition documentation section.
