Authorization in Desktop Local

Once Desktop Local started, you’ll see the authorization form.

Upon the first launch, you set a login and password that will be used for subsequent logins to the system.

To create a login and password, use: Cyrillic letters, Latin letters, hyphen, and the following symbols are allowed: !@#$%^&*()[]{}<>,_-.

  • You can change the password at a later time.

  • Modification of the login isn’t available.

Next, proceed to set up the video surveillance server. See the details below.

Select Log in.

If the login, password, and server are specified correctly, you will be authorized and logged into the application.

Change or restore a password

Upon subsequent application launches (after the initial setup), the Change password button becomes available on the login screen. Utilize this function if you forgot your current password or wish to update it.

Selecting the Change password button presents the password modification form.

If you don’t remember the current password, enter the Master password.

The Master password is submitted along with the service contract.

Next, enter a new password and confirm it.

To save the changes, select Change password.

Set up a video surveillance server

To authorize the application, at least one connection to the video surveillance server must be configured.

To enable a connection, on the authorization form, select Manage video surveillance servers.

As a result, the server configuration window will be displayed.

Complete the fields with relevant information:

  • Give a name to the server.

  • Enter a port number.

  • Enter a server address.

  • Enter a port number.

A server address, port number, and token are detailed in the service agreement.

To save the introduced information, select Save. As a result, a new connection with the specified parameters will be added. Add additional connections as needed.

Adding a single video surveillance server connection automatically sets it as the default. For multiple connections, select the primary connection and save your changes.

To delete a server, select the Delete icon for this server.

The default server can’t be deleted.

Next, to return to the authorization form, select Close.
